Background and Experience

Graham Cook of gpc Design:

Born in Paramatta, Sydney, Australia to "£10 Pom" parents, and arrived in England at the age of four years old in 1958. Spent my teenage years in Hampshire, schooled at Price's Grammar School, Fareham. Moved to the South West at the age of 18, obtaining a degree in Geography at Plymouth. Following a further year as President of the Student's Union, joined Burroughs Computers (latterly UNISYS) and worked with them for 11 years with both small and large accounts, including running the South West Region from their Bristol Offices. Joined Data General in Bristol for four years and a further three years with ICL/Fujitsu, plus a short time with a Small Software House (Sam Systems/Cray Systems).

On leaving the Computer Industry, set up a small business selling and installing PA systems, Lighting Systems as well as Retailing Musical Instruments, which has been operating profitably since 1992.

GPC Design is a new company established in 2009, providing practical assistance to small companies and organisations, to help you make the best use of modern computer based technology within your organisations. We are able to use a wealth of experience to bring both design and business planning to your paper based and computer based systems.
